Abigal Wiggins

My name is Abigail Wiggins, I am 12 years old and was born in New Zealand. My parents taught me how to ski when I was 18 months old, and I have been competitively ski racing since I was 4.

I competed in my second year in the U14 age category in 2023, and had two 1st place finishes in Slalom and a 2nd and 3rd place in Giant Slalom at the Coronet Peak National Point races, a 2nd place at the Mt Dobson Slalom, and at the NZ Youth Alpine Championships I finished 2nd overall (with a 3rd in Slalom and 2nd in Giant Slalom).
I have been selected as 2nd ranked U14 girl to the NZ Alpine Youth Squad to represent NZ at International Youth races in the 2023/24 Northern Hemisphere Winter.

Some of my best results prior to this were being ranked 2nd Overall for the U12 girls in the Southern lakes interfields 2021, including 1st in slalom at Coronet Peak, and coming 4th (2nd 2010 girl) at the Central Switzerland Alpine Youth Championships Giant Slalom in 2023.
