Alaska Speedy

Born in the Snowy Mountains of Australia and raised from 6mths of age in Queenstown NZ, Alaska started on snow at 19mths in skiwiland at Coronet Peak right outside her dad’s office. Based between Queenstown and now Colorado, Alaska is busy chasing winters and FIS points around the world. Alaska enjoys competing in all disciplines but with a focus mostly on GS and SG. Having just been nominated for Snowsports NZ breakthrough athlete of the season award in 2026, Alaska is working fiercely towards getting her first World Cup start. Her goal, to become a well-known name on the World Cup circuit and at the Winter Olympics, giving depth to the competition heralding from little ol New Zealand.
