Isabel Watterson

Hometown: Wanaka

Isabel lives with her mum and dad, Joanne and Tim and her sister Mathilda who also competes in Alpine Ski racing. She began skiing at 18 months old after watching her sister and refusing to just sit in a toboggan and be pulled along. She trains on snow with Wanaka Ski Team and LIT racing. Isabel’s dream is to be competitive on the world cup circuit and represent New Zealand at the winter Olympics but for now it's one step at a time. She concentrates on improving a little each day and staying committed to her full training programme on and off snow.

2022/2023 Season ranked No. 1 U14 Female Racer in Switzerland.

Winning the Grand Prix Migros Finale 2022 and 2023 (Swiss youth race with over 7000 competitors)

2022 U14 New Zealand Alpine Champion

2023 U14 New Zealand SG and GS Champion and fastest on course
